Following Daughter

My daughter sent me the address to this site. WOw what a wonderful place.
I have been playing with Digital for quite sometime but seem to be a slow learner.
I look at the photos on this site and I am not sure I am in the right place. Your pictures are fantastic!
I have worked with my photos in Photoshop sice PS5..Still so much to learn. I also do a lot of digital scrapping.
But now I am wanting to improve my photos. I get lucky and get a good shot every now and then but it has been mostly luck. I would like to make the good pictures the rule rather then the exception.
I have a Canon 40D and just got a new lens..EF 24-105 f/4 L Is Usm. I have only got to use it for a couple of days
but I think I am pleased. I also have a 50mm and a 100mm in the standard Canon lens. I would like a L telephoto but they are so heavy I don't know how much I would use it.
Looking forward to seeing all your beautiful work and hopfully getting some cc's on my pictures when I figure out how to up load.

Well I did learn to up load..Thanks for the information. I have been enjoying all the wonderful pictures people are taking. I must admit that it does intimidate me big time. LOL
Question I would like the join the 52week challenge but I can't find where to sign up. I saw the information go by once but since I have not found the information thread and where to/and How the start my posts.
I have my first week ready. My goal will be to try something new on my Camera or in PP each week.

Hi Muriel! Just jump in and start swimming. I love the 40D but have not had a chance to use the 24-105 f/4 lens. Great focal range, and with it being an L and IS, how can you lose<BG>? Looking forward to seeing what you're capturing in Oregon!
