    Budapest Graveyard

    Hey,
i took this shot in my biking holiday down from bratislava to budapest. I really like the kind of movement in this monumental graveyard statue.

What you folks think about it?

    Hi Matthis,
A pretty impressive monument. Great colours throughout the photo.
Needs a slight CCW rotation to straighten things up.
    Well done.
    Cheers Greg

But rotation will make the foreground appear a little odd unless you crop much tighter.

Guys, thank you for your comments...

I am really happy about such a living, helping and creative community!!

First the totally uncropped and unrotated version:

    Budapest Graveyard

And then the cropped and rotated one...

I took the first one from the bike, and I think through this slight upturn there's some agility in the picture... or it's just my impression...

    cheers matthis

    thanks John,

it's great! So you think it should be totally straight?

If you guys visit budapest, go to the old graveyard... We had like an hour of silence and just great feelings there!!

I think the problem here, Matthis, is that you have rotated to fit the horizontal lines instead of the verticals; which are the important ones.

The original full sized image is approximately correct.

An alternative is to to skew the image and then crop, providing you have suitable software, so both horizontal and vertical lines are straight. Which I assume is what John has done.

    Hi Matthis,
I felt it should be straight, but as I've never visited I could be totally wrong. The build may actually be tilted and be me altering it could be given others the wrong perception. Was the building tilted?
The main thing for me is that it's your picture and it's important that the picture should be displayed how you want it dispayed of saw it on the day.

Nice speaking to you and keep postng, I love seeing parts of the world I've not visited. Many thanks for sharing.
