Poor guy

Was concentrating on the dragonflies and this osprey came along looking for fish in the pond. Of course camera went upwards and snapped a series though the lens was not quite long enough for good shots.

Poor guy was immediately bombed by swallows I think -

1. First came one.


2. And then 2.


3. And then 9.


4. He persevered but to add injury to insult he left empty-handed.

He's a lucky guy if ya ask our Osprey, Bobo. I watched one catch a fish and two Eagles chased him down and stole his fish. lol Then if he makes it through them he has to deal with 10 or 12 crows. lol Those swallows can be pretty pesky though. Fun shots, looks like the makings of a good day. Did you catch some Dragons?

Do you get Swifts in your part of the world, Bobo?

They can be quite aggressive and are known to do this sort of thing.
