This evening, as I was watering the flowers(the wife is on a business trip) I found this young Praying Mantis. I have always been intrigued by these little guys so I decided to try my hand at shooting him/her? Luck had it that it was still there when I got back with the camera. C&C welcome.

Wow Jon, nice captures. I especially like the second one, he/she is looking straight at you.. Every now and then we are lucky and find one around our place... They are really fascinating creatures.

I also like the second one because he seems to be looking at you. Also because the yellow flowers don't seem as blown out. Very cool series!
