Now that's what I call a fluffy bug!
Has it collected that stuff, or is it part of the bug?
Weird Kori, really weird.
Cheers, Dave
Great picture, very strange little beastie though!
Dave:
That's what the bug looks like! White and fluffy!
Yes....very weird!!!!
I seem to have this thing when taking pictures that bugs appear on them! Hmmmmm......
Crusty:
Thank you! Like I said...weird!
Nice shot...could it be a bug in sheep's clothing?

You have managed a crisp image there, and with difficult exposure settings to contend with.
It is a good example of insect camouflage which would be hard to detect on a white flower; and it looks too strange to be eaten.
When you do get a macro lens, make sure it is big enough for insect use. 150 mm is popular but I use 180 mm and still want more! And then there is the tripod, etc. Plus a load of reference books to identify all those little critters.
And then there is all that time spent looking for the best sites.
Thank you! I have the tripod.... one down! We always seem to want more than what we have! I really thought I would be content with my "beginners" camera, but now I am wishing I would have bought a step up.... I honestly didn't think I would get so hooked on taking pictures - it's fun to learn and a great feeling to get compliments on them too!
I think I will be saving up for a few months yet.... they seem to be a little steep in price!
That's one strange bug! Lovely image.
