A Windy Day
Hi again,
One more from today, this is on Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra. It was very windy today which made the apparent temperature about 1 deg celcius, which meant that I was not out in it for long. Way to cold on the hands and nose
Cheers

Re: A Windy Day
That is one helluva shot. I have been looking at it for a while and cannot make out what is going on.

Re: A Windy Day
Hi, Jason
So I have done a double and then a triple take of this, and my best guess is that this was a water spout with a very strong wind blowing the fringes of the spout to the left? Looks like the "decisive moment" to me.

Re: A Windy Day
Hi bobo and Kevin,
I probably should have said what it is, it is the Captain Cook water spout on Lake Burley Griffin, one of the monuments that can be found around the lake. It runs for a couple of hours a day in the afternoon. The wind was mainly blowing from right to left but would get swirly every now and than and that would cause the drift from the spout to sort of move back on itself.
Cheers
