I think your picture is good. It is well processed and captures the character of the man.

I like the composition: it would be almost impossible to make this photo look "boring," but I think it would have lost some of its power if the portrait was smack in the center. Putting him in the right side of the frame adds interest without looking like you're mechanically deferring to the rule of thirds.
