    Hi Mark,

    Are you shooting RAW? What capture sharpening are you applying? Can you post a 100% crop for us?

    Yes Colin I am shooting RAW. I do sharpen them up a bit in PS using unsharp mask. I'll post a crop as soon as I sort my PS out. I'm getting issues with the colorspace. My pics look great in bridge - the second I get them up in Camera Raw or photoshop, the look overexposed and have a Greenish tint??? Any ideas. It was all ok up to a week ago.

    Hi Mark,

    Hard to say what's going on, although a sample with EXIF data will help a lot. What USM settings are you using?

    Also, you might be interested in some 100% crops from my EF16-35/2.8L

    Hi Mark,

    The recent problems;
    - is it possible you have inadvertently set some option that is using an incompatible embedded profile somewhere, or
    - you have some PS action that is automatically starting up? (perhaps set up for batch job)

    These are just a couple of ideas on a subject I have no direct experience of, so consign to the bin if they're rubbish.

    Thanks for that link Colin. My concerns are put to rest. My pics are equally sharp. Now to try and sort the colous issues out. I did change the profile to suite my printer - must be something to do with that. I also changed the colourspace to Adobe RGB but have since changed back to sRGB. I'll take a few pics tomorrow and load them up with the new settings.

    Hi Mark,

    That begs the question of "how are you using the new printer profile"?

    You should only be using it when printing or when soft-proofing. Whatever else you do, DON'T assign it as a display profile (common mistake).

    I'm sure that's what I did. My son sorted it out yesterday. All back to normal now. So much to learn.....

    Hi Mark,

    If your interested in Colour Management then you need to grab hold of a copy of Real World Color Management 2nd edition by Fraser, Murphy, and Bunting. It's the undisputed industry bible on the topic (and a darn good book!).

    No worries Mark - although the other argument
    might be "learning the fundamentals properly before any mis-information and bad habits creep in" (there's lots of mis-information regarding colour management floating around unfortunately).
