What no-one realises is that was a carefully planned Scottish ploy (the game involving North Korea took place in Scotland's national football (soccer) stadium even though the thing is called the London Olympics - It's their sop to us to make us feel part of it, despite the fact that they've cleaned us out of all lottery monies for other worthwhile projects in order to pay for the d... thing), designed to highlight the case for Scottish independence in the referendum that is to be held in 2014!

but even a sporting fanatic such as myself has been left wondering, has the event become just too big for any host to handle?
I really have no excitement about these games, maybe that will change as they get going...
and as for our media's treatment of our swimmer at her 4th games - the photographers & editors should be showing her some respect - maybe they'll get better when the action starts for real as well!
