The colouring on the bird (or at least that which we can see) is much more muted and subtle than on the others we've seen over the past couple of days (which I think is gorgeous). The background works perfectly with that, as does the branch upon which it is resting.
If it's not perfection, it's pretty close to it.

Ditto -- I actually prefer the female hummingbirds for their subtlety although the males certainly are dashing. This lady looks positively demure!
And like Joanne I'm certainly happier to be looking at photos of a two-winged hummer rather than a four-wheeled hummer.
