That light travels in that way is not surprising given that we understand how sound travels and can be used to determine where there are oil deposits under the earth.

What is really amazing is that they have developed the technology needed to create a camera that can actually see and record the motion of the light traveling.

To give a perspective on how fast the camera works, a video of a bullet traveling through an apple would take over a year to watch.

Interesting; very amazing technology. I wonder how much computing power is needed to do one second of video. I suspect a lot. The ability look around corners in real time may be somewhat limited if it takes five minutes to compile and process the files on a supercomputer.
