Hummingbirds inspired by fellow member Steve S
I have a really, really long way to go to get close to the quality of Steve's hummingbird shots but I am happy that I'm improving. Thanks Steve for posting your inspiring photos and for the post you made on how you go about producing such beautiful shots.

As Bobo said a "great start". Is the little white spot in the eye of #1 & 3 a flash? I like #1 the best, a nice background with no distractions complete with a good pose and detail - well done.

Hi Terri,
This is some fantastic work, very well done.
I notice your settings for shot #2 was: Exposure 1/125 / F6.3 / Focal Length 400mm / ISO 800.
With the ISO of 800, I was wondering if a bit of noise reduction might just improve these fantastic pictures a tad. I have applied some noise reduction in Elements 9 to see the result, I hope you don't mind.
Original
Reduced noise.

Thanks, everyone for your comments.
Clive, yes, the spots could be flash.
John, thank you for showing what I could do to reduce the noise. I have Photoshop Elements but have not yet learned much about it. So far, most of my edits are done in Aperture and I don't see as much improvement with the DeNoise feature in it.
