Re: New DIFs
Very nice. These are very hard to capture in flight. Is "Timmie's Iced Capp" Timothy Horton Iced Cappuccino, and if so, were you using that to lure them or to liven up the wait?

Re: New DIFs
Well done Bobo, #2 is my first pick. Nice background and light through the wings.

Re: New DIFs
Thanks John - they do turn up from time to time at that place so it is only a question of getting the time right.
Thanks Antonio - exif 1/1000-1/1250, f5.6, ISO400.
Thanks Dan - yup exactly that. Does lure the ants when cup was once left on the ground but have since put them in a bag and hang that off a branch.
Thanks Paul. Still very hit and miss I am sad to say. Still trying without success to get a head-on and a better one of a mating pair in flight.

Re: New DIFs
The trouble is that when an Osprey appears you will be set up for insects and miss the shot. That's life.

Re: New DIFs
Usually in the "waiting" situation, the macro is sitting in the bag so it is just a quick change to standard bird settings. I have been careful to not try mixing bugs with birds. The zoom can focus at 39" so does ok as a psuedo macro.
