Osprey With Fish Day At The Marsh...

Yesterday was a unique day, the marsh was filled with Ospreys. Most had fish clutched in their talons. There was literally dozens of Ospreys. Most were too far out to photograph, below are couple of the ones that were close enough to shoot. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I have 3-4 that come round but only to fish and never close enough for these kind of shots. Only aerial.

Thanks Dave, this nature reserve/marsh is a wonderful place. It used to be a cattle ranch. When the owners reduced their ranching they donated the land to the county. The county restored the wetlands that had been drained and opened it as a nature reserve. It borders one of the largest almost pristine lakes in central Florida. The lake and the marsh provides a perfect habitat for the Ospreys.

There are tons of them here too on the lakes. The only problem is the closest is a 9 hours round trip.
