CD abstracts of glycerine drops shot in tungsten mode

The back side of a standard CD on a plain black board. Three drops of glycerine dyed blue with food colouring. Studio flash from the side. Canon 50D with Sigma 105mm macro. ISO100 1/125s f/11. Hand-held. C+C welcome. These would be good for the monthly RAW challenge as you could modify them considerably.

For this one I deliberately moved the camera. You can just make out the edge of the CD.


This is my favourite. The colours were boosted in CS4 with a 'Velvia' filter I have.

My kind of images. Very nicely done although personally I would crop the edge of the CD (lower,left) in the last image.

Thank you. They were all lit with a studio flash head from the left side. Simple really.
