The Dog Nextdoor
I have a new challenge. The dog next door is the most camera shy animal I have ever encountered. As soon as he sees the camera pointed in his direction he will turn around and quickly lumber away. I say lumber because he is a 185 pound mastiff(and still growing). I got a couple shots today, one because he did not see me and another thanks to about 4 pounds of dog treats amd his little red-headed buddy. C&C most welcome.

Maybe give the little fellow some dog treats, place yourself in front of the little fellow, and take the big pup's photo as he makes his way toward the little guy? He's definitely an interesting subject!

Myra, I tried that. He bull rushed me and walked right over top of me leaving a trail of drool up my chest. It is amazing how quickly 185lbs moves for a treat. I might have to spend some time in the yard so he can get used to me...this may take awhile.

<LOL> Put a plastic bag over your camera for protection the next time you want to photograph him. How about kneeling "behind" the little boy and shooting over his head or shoulder? Good luck!
