Great Blue Heron wing shadowing
Canon 50D, 600 f4, 1/640 @ f4, ISO 200
Wading birds occasionally raise thier wings to cast a shadow on the water to attract prey.

Reason: Level and reduce contrast

Hi Rollin,
This is pretty sharp, and is a good documentary shot of this behaviour.
If mine, I think I would have levelled it.
It looks just a tad contrasty to me, with loss of detail in the shadows.
Well done,

Re: Great Blue Heron wing shadowing
Thanks Dave, I had not noticed that the slough where this image was taken apparently runs slightly down hill or my camera was little tilted, probably the latter. The contrast is probably due my attempt to reduce the bright green background by masking and I need to reduce the contrast in curves. I will correct and re-post.
