Joe - I feel the branch gets in the way in #2, or maybe it's that the bird and the branch don't sort of work together in the same image in that one.

But, fro me #1 and #3 are beauties. Getting the exposure right must have been quite a challenge and you've nailed it. And you have achieved wonderful clarity and sharpness.
