didn't get a chance to go up sadly. this was pretty much as shot boosted the reds and yellows a touch. perhaps a touch too much? iso was at 1600 as this was hand held.. this maybe why the colours are as they are.

The colours are really saturated but nonetheless I think it works partly because of that. With the warm colours against the cool and the level of saturation it's actually quite a graphic image. I might crop off the sky at the top pretty near the top of the ... whatever it is to emphasise this even further and maybe shave just a little off the left size to balance or centralise the image. Kind of works for me.

I think it is a beautiful photo, well composed, sharp and clear but the colours are a bit too, saturated/bright for me, the colours are almost surreal.

I agree this is a very cool subject. My only thought is that there is nothing in the background to give perspective. I get the impression that this is a tower of some sort, but I don't know how big or tall --1 story --2 stories? Although this might not be your goal. The contrast with the background is great! Just my .02 --take it with a grain of salt.

For better or worse, there is a vogue for lots of saturation right now. You see it in TV images all the time. It reminds me of the mass migration from Kodachrome to the more saturated, less subdued, look of Fujichrome in the 1980s. Or think back to the golden age of Technicolor. Today, the colours look artificial and overdone, but at the time they seemed full of life, and a bright and shining alternative to black and white. Pleas for naturalism in art never look natural in the hindsight of the art historian.

While the surrealistic aspect of the image is neat, I find the color combination to be harsh: the vibrant pink against the rich, deep blue. There are a few solutions to this. One, the background can be lightened considerably. I think the pink would pop more pleasantly against a blander background. If you are concerned about realism, I would forget that concern. This image is dying for complete artistic freedom. Which brings up my second point: play around with the hues to create other combinations. I might also lighten the shadows in general: there is a core darkness that makes the structure appear dense. My last suggestion is for the actual capture: it might have been neat to get this image from even closer and below to allow it to sort of loom over you with more distortions.
