Hi! New to the boards.

Hi. I just joined the forums to get a little more knowledge and tips form the most experienced of you guys.
I've been an avid fan of photography and a serious practitioner for over 6 years. But just recently I've begun to study photography in a professional way, as it's what I'd like to dedicate myself to. Since I'm still a student I have the minimum equipment and resources. I own a Canon EOS K2 and I recently acquired a Nikon D3100 18-55 VR Kit. I'm also very new to the whole digital aspect of the subject, but I'm eager to learn much more and try finding a job on the field at this early stages.

Hope I can gather much more knowledge from you guys that will help me prepare myself better.

The one thing about this forum is that it is not about what gear and how much of the latest stuff you own. It is about having a passion for photography and about wanting to continually learn and develop and to share that journey with others. All the gear only amounts to a set of tools. The vision and the creative ability to make images comes from the person using those tools, not the tools themselves.

So, I hope you enjoy being part of the forum and that it does help you on that learning journey.

By the way, you've maybe seen that most of us tend to use our real names on here. It makes communication more friendly and CiC is that sort of site. Did you know you can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can also enter your location so that it does the same, just as in my details alongside this message. Then we all know where everyone is in the world.
