One thing that might give your images a "touch more magic" is encapsulating them in some kind of boarder, just to compliment the image and help isolate it from the rest of the page.

Have you tried it rotated 90 degrees clockwise?

btw, I think Colin's idea is bordering on excellent, especially for shots like this where the composition doesn't impart any natural framing effect.

It is very interesting, just this morning, I was reading the Skin book by Varis, you (Colin) recommended a while ago. Toward the end it has a section on adding border to the pictures. Now I have to go back and read it more carefully. But I have been thinking about it. Since I print these (some of them) and rotate them through a frame on my desk (some of them again!) and in a digital frame, I did not think of this but for posting them online you are right.

The question is how do you guys automate this action?

I have been studying a way to make all the canvas the same size. I just got it !
Now - with more work yes - all my canvas will have the same size regardless the size of the crop.
An improvement.

But only later on I will work more on this.
Now am I going to rest for a while because I have been polishing my wife's car - small one - with a nanotechnologies cream. Some BMW stuff, exquisite and good as usual.

I have been studying a way to make all the canvas the same size. I just got it !

I just click on Image -> Image Size - make sure that "Resample Image" is checked, and then just key in the pixel dimensions that I like (usually 1024 x 512) - easy
