    Hummingbird

I took a chance at trying to capture a photo of this little hummer. A bit far off for my lens, but I had been waiting all morning for it to come by, and when it did, it didn't approach the feeder.

I sure have been there, sitting and waiting for them to show up. Seems they swarm when you don't have your camera.

Have you seen this thread by Steve S? How I Photograph Hummingbirds He shares some really good information that has helped me a lot.

    Hi David,

Can I ask if you did a blur on the background all over except a rough circle around the hummer?

I personally find it slightly off-putting, as if my eyes aren't focusing where they should be.

You might want to review the histogram too, it shows a very low contrast image between two 'walls' at levels 30 and 223.

I can only assume these were deliberate choices on your part though - so did they come out as intended?
