Re: Dogs of Ireland
Randy, A wonderful trio of dogs. Very nice series of portraits also. The Kerry Blue Terrier, Irish Terrier and the Irish Wolfhound are some of my favorite breeds. Our Saint Patrick's day Parade, in San Diego, California, is always led off by some Irish Wolf Hounds and they also have large contingents of Wolf Hounds and the two terrier breeds marching.
I wish there were a Irish Fair in San Diego. I try to attend the Saint Patrick's Parade as well as the Sotttish Highland Games celebrations every year in San Diego because, I am primarily Irish-Scot as well as German and English in heritage...
Nice thing about having multiple nationalities in my background is that I can attend a lot of ethnic celebrations.

Re: Dogs of Ireland
Give the Irish Wolfhound the Blue Ribbon. They are so calm and amiable. Terriers seem to need someone to throw the ball 24/7 --way too high energy for me!!!
Hubby says he we don't have room on the bed for a Wolfhound.
Thanks for posting all of them. I love seeing happy dogs.

Re: Dogs of Ireland
One of the many benefits of being American --we don't really know what we are so we just celebrate everything. (especially those who drink --!!!)

Re: Dogs of Ireland
The thing that I love about the Irish fair is that it is truly a family event, i.e. very little drinking that I have experienced; it truly serves to show the best of the irish culture. I also got to play more with the 90mm macro for portraiture and general shots, I'm finding that it did an OK job in a party tent for example shooting dancers, not an easy chore for any lens

Re: Dogs of Ireland
Which 90mm Macro do you use? The Tamron 90mm f/2.8?

Yes, 2.8 does come in handy; only other lens is tamron 18-270 3.5-6.3
