The secret with this one would be about getting into that location just at the right time of day when the sun was just in the right place so that the shadow from the surrounding building was not a problem. Or being there on a overcast day when the light was softer.

In interesting what you say about this being the only location for the shot. Is that the only view the public can get of the work? Seems a bit restricted.

High Line is an above street level walkway in lower Manhattan. It used to serve public rail commuters.

I agree with you that a different time of day would probably serve this shot a lot better.

Hi Karm,

My intial thought was this is a work of art, OK, it still is but I mean more compact one.

It looks like a model and there's really nothing here that gives an obvious (enough for me) sense of scale.

May be that was your intention?

Well, there was a giant giraffe that I cropped out that did give this picture a sense of scale. It's just that when I include the giraffe everything else seemed too small (from my eyes). As I said, I'm just "selling" this one as an amusing image.
