I thought I would be seeing a military raid on your shot! LOL! Good capture. Nice use of DOF, colors, and focus. My only subjective comment is that your background is a bit busy competing against your main subject. Other than that a very good image indeed. Nice work.

That looks like one of the more interesting solitary living wasps, Jack.
There are several forms; but one catches spiders and then places them inside individual burrows to feed it's young.
I have seen them dragging a spider into the burrow on a couple of occasions.

Very clear image, Jack. I don't mind the brightness in this image because the wasp is black.
