    Highland morning

Not a sunrise shot but one from a morning walk close to Loch Maree in NW Scotland. It is taken from the Beinn Eighe Mountain Trail. On a day like this one of the best half day walks I have done.

To me, Dave, it seems a pity that so much of the sharp foreground is in shadow.

A crop of the bottom and right side would reduce the problem but I'm worried that it might ruin the overall balance.

    How about a B&W version?

    Thanks for the comments, Geoff.

I have tried a crop and a B&W. I'm not sure if the crop works (but that may be me being proprietorial) and I can see that the crop concentrates the eye towards the illuminated water and the sunlit valley. I don't know if the B&W works, but my skills in B&W conversion are not good.

Any other comments will be welcomed.

For me your image is very good but you must clean the morning haze only... a few.Below you can see almost imperceptible improvements of colours where light falls.(Enhance>Adjust Color>Adjust Hue/Saturation)
