Good exposure and focus, Rollin, particularly as the aperture was so wide.

Hi Rollin, you are setting a very high standard for yourself, keep up the good work. I admire the colour in this image from the red eye to the lovely chestnut flanks. You also manage to capture a plain background that does not distract from the subject. Love the long toes and claws. Is the piece of wire holding a feeder of sorts?

Thank you all for the encouraging comment. Clive there were no feeders around, I think the wire looking thing is just a piece of vine. This photo was taken in a Wildlife Refuge in Southwestern Oklahoma
