Given the pose in the 3rd image, have you considered a 16:9 ratio crop?

Oh my! These are outstanding! And with a 300mm lens. I've no excuses with my 400mm. Haven't even come close on any flying bird shot. Thanks for sharing these.

Congrats Bobo, #3 is absolutely stunning. As suggested by Frank, a 16:9 crop might look even better.
Just wondering what happened to the beautiful blue sky in #2?

It's amazing how much more the Osprey's face is noticed now with the crop in 3a. All lines now seem to point to the Osprey's face and the fish's open mouth. Well done!
