noise behind the butterfly
I finally managed to shoot this elusive, skittish butterfly after a few trips into the jungle with my Tamron 90mm macro lens. If you know the ID of this butterfly, I would appreciate it's name.
I need help in post processing to eliminate the noise in this photo. I tried using a noise plug-in in Photoshop, but it gave me bands. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: noise behind the butterfly
Noise where, Steven?
The black background and green leaf seem OK to me; which is where any noise should be apparent.
The wings are slightly softer than the body, as often happens with butterflies. Are you seeing some reflection from the wing scales?

Hi Geoff
Thanks for replying. This only means one thing, Now, I have a serious problem with my monitor. On my monitor, blotches of black and some slight bands of the colour show up.

Nice shot but the "imperfections" are not that apparent. There are streaks of green within the black areas, it is not ugly to look at, actually quite pleasing.

Re: noise behind the butterfly
Agree with all previous. On my screen very little noise. I have a few green streaks which are nice as they add depth. Its a well composed pic. Good luck with your monitor.
