Re: Juvenile Green Heron
Another good image Rollin, only comment I would make is the green stalk on the top right just catches my eye.

Re: Juvenile Green Heron
Thanks Clive, yes there are two on the right hand side that I should have caught and removed.

Re: Juvenile Green Heron
Nice image Rollin, your image identifies a bird I shot a while back. I thought it was a immature Little Green Heron but was unsure.

Re: Juvenile Green Heron
Such a clear beautiful shot. His eye is so bright. And the grass did not bother me.

Hi Rollin,
Lovely shot, the grass proves that it's a natural pic and not doctored as most doooo.

Re: Juvenile Green Heron
Thank you all for the kind comment. Joe in North America it is called a Green Heron by my bird books, in other places it is called a Green Backed Heron and a Striated Heron in South America. As far as I know they are all the same specie. It definitely was young as indicated by the stripes on the breast and front neck feathers, the mature birds don't have the vertical stripes
