Nice shots Rob,
No.1:
Unfortunately, I can see a mask line running across to the left hand edge from the lowest leaf, on the right hand side the transition from mask is a little better feathered. Above the masking is a bit noisy. raising the black clip a few levels would have removed the problem I suspect.
No.2:
Nicely done, don't think I can fault it.
No.3:
Very good exposure (and black clipping) and depth of field, excellent, my favourite.
Hope that helps,
Hi Kim - welcome to here.
Shot #3 was f/22 and 1/60s. I used a single studio flash head to light it. A mask line is where I selected part of the shot (the bottom half black area to make it blacker) but didn't make a smooth enough transition when editing it. You can see the line on the left mid-way down the shot.
Thanks for the comment.

Hi Kim,
I can't show you now because Rob's fixed it!
I'll do my best to describe it.
What I was seeing was a dead straight line between the left hand edge of frame and the tip of the lowest leaf, it was a 'line' (or more accurately, an edge) formed as the transition between a mottled blacks above, and the smooth clipped black, below.
Rob must've had some picture content below the line, e.g. what the vase was standing on which, he wanted to be rid of. So he drew a mask to encompass this area and clipped the blacks within it. The same thing really needed doing above the half way point, but drawing round all those flowers was going to take a while, it got overlooked.
However, he's fixed it now, and the whole image has the uniform black background.
Having written all this I just saw Rob had answered, doh!
Very nice...crisp and the lighting looks good. The whites are almost blown out on the third one but I can still see some detail. I like the dramatic yet delicate balance.

I entirely approve of use of the raincoat! Fantastic shots all of them!

I gotta say I like the second one best, but is that not just like me... always bucking the majority....lol
