So- trying to do a crash course- Earlier this week my step sister has asked me to take photos of her newborn baby boy- tomorrow!!(he'll be 9 days old) Ahhhh- so, I've been trying to read up, watch videos etc. Now that I finally have my rented lenses here- time to put in some practice.
Canon 5d w/ 100mm 2.8 macro lens- first time using this lens
Any tips or suggestions are welcome! I would work on better lighting and background-I just was so excited to open the box and put the lens on my camera and just shoot! I also plan on using a reflector.

Living in Southern California- summers are long and hot here in the inland empire- temps as high as 105 deg f, the nights are in the high 80's...and OF COURSE, today I wake up to a cool overcast morning- when I'm going to highly depend on natural light....I admit, I was worried about the super bright, harsh light and shadows (especially since I have a feeling they want to take photos outside) but now I'm hoping I get some good enough light for indoors...
