Nile Crocodile
We’d stopped on the banks of the Chobe River to stretch our legs and have a cold drink during a particularly hot non-eventful morning’s game viewing. We noticed this dark shape in the water making its way towards us, identified as a crocodile it glided past giving us the once over. No doubt not enough meat on my bones (a toothpick maybe) to warrant further investigation. I took the image in dreadful light that gave a silhouette of the crocodile; thankfully the reflected clouds give an additional lift to the image.

Re: Nile Crocodile
Clive, Interesting perspective of these animals, but an image which I would think best be taken using a substantial Telephoto lens.

Re: Nile Crocodile
Hi Clive,
Love the clouds as a great background to the croc.
A telephoto would give a closer image of the croc, but would lose the clouds. Everyone could get a close up of a croc, just go tho the zoo. But the clouds make it unique. There'll never be the same formation anywhere in the world.
Why go generic when you be special.
