Hi Forum Members,
New to CC here is my website. 360 Virtual Tours
We have been going 4 years now, and have completed over 700 virtual tours.
It has turned out to be a nice "second career" - comments appreciated.

Thought I'd try something new to see how it works. Have replaced 'DMacK's Dozen' with 'Latest Stuff' and invited people to leave a comment saying whether images are good enough to be moved into a main gallery.
Should be interesting to see if I get any comments and, if so, what they are.
The link is below if you'd like to have a look.
what camera do you mostly use?

You should open up a new thread and ask this question, Then, hopefully, more people will see it.
I listed what I use in the 'In conversation with ....' interview. You can read it by clicking here.
Hi,
Just a quick note to introduce my new Compact Digital Camera Guide,
trying to simplify the task of selecting a new camera for people who know little or nothing about it.
For example, my recent review of the new Panasonic Lumix FX700.
Thanks,

Good on you for putting this up.
There's a lot of good stuff on there. A lot of imagination on display. Have you studied Steve's (Wirefox) stuff (link to website). I think some of your work indicates that you'd like what Steve does.
Personally, my pick of your collection is 'I'm on a bus' on page 6 of your Flickr pages. Love it. Your management of depth-of-field (which I see you saying is a subject that interests you) is excellent.
My flickr photostream is here. I don't consider it a "website" -- it's a record of my photography almost literally from day 1 (the first time I went out at dawn to shoot some surfers).
I'm just in the process of setting up a Smugmug gallery -- just finding my way around at this point after having bought a "power" account (didn't think I was quite ready for the "pro"). Any tips on how to make my site more interesting or effective will be appreciated -- I can already see a couple of mistakes I've made. At this point I'm just fiddling around with the possibilities. There's also a connection I've just discovered between Lightroom 3 and Smugmug, have to figure that out and see what the possibilities are there.
I also have things on an etsy site that I don't use anymore -- I think etsy can be a good place to sell things from, but it takes a lot of work in promoting yourself, and I don't yet have the time (or inclination) to do that.
It's fun to see everyone's sites --
After putting this off for a long time, I put this together just to see what a free site could provide. Please let me know what you think, I might take the plunge and upgrade

Whilst the overall design and construction is super, I'm seeing an operational problem in the Brough Market gallery
If I go into 'Portfolio' click on 'Brough Market', I see the first of the images.
But from there I can't see a 'Next' button to go onto the next image.
If I click on the picture it enlarges.
This now does bring up a 'Next' and a 'Previous' arrow at the right and left sides. But ...
The enlarged picture is too big for the box/frame within which it is held. i'm only seeing the top 2/3 or so, of the image. The rest is hidden.
EDIT - I'm looking at it with Firefox on XP. The other galleries seem fine.

That's it. Much better.
Like I say, I like the design. Works well. And I love the Brough Market gallery.
I have a friend who often travels to London to meet other friends and visit family. The last time we were speaking she mentioned a forthcoming trip (which was cancelled due to weather) during which she was going to visit Brough Market. "Aahh", says I, having already seen your previous posts, "I know something about Brough Market". So we were able to exchange views about the fantastic photographic opportunities it provides, all based on your images. So, thanks.
I tried putting a banner on my Smugmug site -- I'm not sure it works. I read a tutorial that said to make a banner 750 pixels wide, but on my laptop monitor, that doesn't go all the way across. Is that right? Or does it have to be that small to fit the smallest monitor or resolution size or whatever of those things I don't understand that it might be??
It is shown as only 750 pixels wide. Normally people use a banner that is as width as the smallest resolution, but what is the smallest resolution these days?
To get a banner that fills the wide of the screen is challenging, unless you go for something more dynamic, but I don't know what is possible with Smugmug.
To make it dynamic, you have basically 2 or 3 images placed next to each other. first image will be the cows, placed for example on the far left. the second image will be the title placed for example in the centre and in between and at the end a sizeable image with the yellow background colour.
Hope this helps
Elise
I don't have a stretchy banner as mine is just my name. I think this may help you. http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?...ghlight=banner
