Swansong!

I thought this gerbera was dying in a very elegant way and that the petals as they curled took on a feather-like quality.

Sorry I have not been around much lately. I aim to remedy that and hope everyone is well and happy.

So long as it's the flower's swan song and not yours.

I like the shape of the bent stem and the petals. The first thing I see, however, is the hot spot on the stem when I think it should be the red petals.

You could try desaturating and/or darkening that part of the image. When you do, you might also need to attend to the bright leaf in the background.

However, if doing something like that doesn't work quite right, this could be one of those situations when it would have been better to deal with the light at the time of capture. I know from repeated personal experience about not getting the capture right.

bin...bin, I don't think so.

I like the idea of a beautiful flower, slowly and with dignity moving on to its next stage in its life cycle.
As you know I may be old in years, but am still in the ‘baby’ stage with regard to photography; anyhow here’s my take.
