Doe and her young

I shot this one on the way back to the car, after the rainbow shot. The two young one's were on to me, but mom had food on her mind and didn't even know i was there. (i was only about 20 yards or so).

Shot at 20mm --- f/3.5 --- iso 800 --- 1/40s hand held.

A composite image of one exposure. Edited for the sky and then for the land . Combined with photoshop.


Critique welcome, not shure if the lighting is balanced? What do you think? Does it look natural?

Great landscape image though I am not sure about the balance between top and bottom. The brighter green bits seem a shade too bright for the sky light. The middle bit with the deer looks about right with the sky.

Serenity. Just a lovely thing to look at.

Might have wondered about lightening the foreground grass just a very little to bring up a bit more detail, but ..........!
