Awesome lens, inspiring amazon reviews - Sigma 200-500mm f/2.8
Very funny amazon reviews for this bazooka-like lens.
My favorite is:
"This is a great lens. Have had it for 2 weeks now. Mostly use it in macro mode in my search for the Higgs boson."

A really great link.
A read of all the reviews is highly recommended.

Thanks for sharing Miltos.
Love the one being disappointed with Sigma for not attaching a camera to this monster. Shame on Sigma

That thing really does look like a bazooka, I hope the photographer isn't mistaken for a terrorist when in the field Lol.
This lens must be quite a bit bigger and the it's price isn't even in the same ballpark:

The best part is the commissioned Mercedes four-wheel drive to cart the lens around

I remember looking at this lens last year when I was in New York City and went to the Adorama store, where they had one on display. It is a monster.
It is truly a vanity lens; Sigma built it because they could.
