Hello All,
My name is John (aka Johnnie - I have been called Johnnie all my life.). I started my photography while in the US Navy and have been involved with it ever since, @40+yrs. Started with film and now completely digital.
I'm excited about be a member here and to have the chance to learn more and to share when I can. Thanks for having me.

Welcome Aboard CiC Johnnie,
I am the Richard (rpcrowe) mentioned by Donald in an earlier welcome. I retired from the Navy as a Master Chief Photomate (aircrew) after 32 years of Naval Service in 1989. I attended Photography "A" School in Pensacola in 1958 and the one-year Enlisted Cinematography Course at the University of Southern California in 1964-65.

Hi Richard and thanks for the reply. I am also a US Navy Veteran - Chief Hospital Corpsman, (1968-1988). What I was trying to say or meant to say was that I didn't take up photography until I enter the military service. I did take the PH3&2 and Ph1&C Rate Training Courses to gain some knowledge and was friends with the Photographer Mates. They, the PH's gave me some valuable information and taught me much! Then I decided to also take the New York Institute of Photography Professional Course which was also very very good.
I was stationed at the Naval Hospital Balboa in the early 70's. Loved San Diego area!
