David over all not bad but I'm not sure what your focal point was in this shot? it's looks rather empty leaving my eye to wondering through the image with nowhere to rest. I also find the sky a bit bland, consider enhancing skies either in post production or with the use of filters (for example a polarizing filter can add color and contrast) also looks like you over crop it some top and botton. Take all I said with a grain of salt for I'm not expert.

I tend to agree with Paul.

Something missing here. Maybe a few fluffy clouds would have pulled everything together? Perhaps if the people were closer together in a family group?

However, as it is, I wonder about cropping part of the left side. Somewhere just past where the waves come further up the beach. This would place the two figures about 1/3 from the left edge and help to hold the scene together with a definite subject; possibly.
