Here's a link to a low key bodyscape, shot with D700 and 24-70mm. The model was backlit with a single strobe through a shoot through umbrella, lying on a black background cloth. The aim of the shoot was to produce some low key images to emphasise the curves of the female form in an artistic way, without revealing too much.

Ok although your image feels cliche to me it is very well executed. I wonder how it would look with a vignetting that keeps only the center of the image visible.

I too like the image Phil.
Well done for taking on the subject matter. Personally, I don't think I would broach nudity as I feel that its too easy to produce 'crass' or 'poor taste' images. However, I have seen a couple of your images now and you defiantly don't fit into that category!!
The female form is most defiantly a beautiful thing, and from an artistic point of view, the male body is an equally valid subject!

I haven't tried a male model yet, but a friend of ours is a fitness instructor and model so we'll have to give it a go some time. A very different and harder kind of lighting required, probably with 2 or 3 lights
