Canadian Museum of Civilisation Ottowa

Here are a few shots I took recently when visiting the Canadian Capital Ottowa. They feature the Canadian Museum of Civilisation in the evening light. I was trying to capture some interesting architectural designs in the soft light of the late evening. The first three are of the museum buildings and surrounds and the fourth is looking across the Ottowa River to the Parliament.

Incidentally this museum is a fabulous museum - one of the best I have seen.

Dave, those are wonderful shots. Love the light. Are you still in Canada? Sad to admit I haven't been to any part of Ontario and I'm only a few provinces east!

There are two main buildings in the museum complex: the museum proper and the administrative building to the side (where the scientists work). I've been in the administrative building a few times, and it is very strange because the corridors are not straight: they waver and curve, just like the outside does!

Myra no we are back in Australia but we did really enjoy our holiday in Canada.

John the admin building you refer to is the one in image #2 I believe. I can imagine the curved corridors would be quite strange.

Bobo yes we did catch the light show on the parliament and it was brilliant !!
