Hi from Northland NZ
I just prefer to blend in anonymously but it seems it is preferred that I introduce myself. Over the years I have had a rather spasmodic relationship with photography. My first camera was a box brownie followed by a progression from Practika, Bronica S2a, Olympus OM1d, Nikon 801, Mamiya 645, Nikon F90x and currently a Nikon D200 with my beady eyes fixed on a D800 - maybe next week maybe next year. My relationship with photography over the last 15 years has been reasonably consistent but most vigorous when I get the chance to travel.
Due to having a reasonable film scanner I kept using velvia slide film until about 6 years ago. The delay partly due to my investment in Nikon compatible lenses and waiting for Nikon to release a digital SLR camera that I could afford and would match the results I could get by my scanning film.
Sorry to any purists amongst you but I am very relaxed about utilising Photoshop and cheating as much as I feel I need to to produce the image I want. However my aim is to keep the cheating undetected.
Look forward to being here.

Greetings from the Mainland!
I was trying to avoid arguments being so new to the site so I'll just accept the greeting.
