Went for a dive at one of my favourite dive sites on Sat morning with the intention of getting some good images for a national photocomp being run for the month of Sep - not that I would have any chance of winning and after Sat effort I wonder why I do this some times
When I entered the water my heart sank straight away as the water was very milky / silty and the visibility (clarity) of the water was between 1 - 2m (and I am being generous there ) - basically its like trying to shoot in a sand storm.
The only thing I could do was go 'super' macro and get in close to try and stop all the floaty bits showing up in the images. On top of that the water was a 'toasty' 15.5 degrees. Anyway here are the best of a bad day at the office
