Can I be awkward?

Well ..................

Mainly, it's that leaf at the back left. I'm not sure if it's just the fact that it's there, or that it's so out-of-focus. But yet, if I put my finger over it and hide it, the whole thing loses the nice balance that it has.

Not a very constructive piece of criticism ... because I don't understand the 'why' behind the comment. Maybe I just need to go away and then re-visit it.

What is do find is a great harmony in the tones. What is the background. It works perfectly to make the whole image a 'whole', as opposed to a subject with a background .... if you see what I mean.

In all seriousness I am happy to have C&C however vague and based in the feel of a piece as much as being told I have broken some mathematical rule

This pic came about with a dying rose and a fickle 60mm lens.,..I was testing auto focus failures and just liked this enough to 'show and tell'

Hello Sharon, I am always looking forward to your pictures and they are always great. Its like "intimate portraiture". Does it makes sense to say that? You bring out an unexpected side to flowers or objects. In this one, the petals are almost 3D. More please.

I admit that I thinks plants and flowers have quite distinct personalities..from the innocence of daisies ( not me for sure lol ) to the seductive lines of orchids and lilies and that selective lighting can bring out the Angel or the Diva in them all.
