I think I'm getting better at capturing the eyes, but the lighting on the coat is soooo hard.

'fraid I still rather not see the watermark in the bottom right hand corner.

I'd suggest that no matter how skilled and knowledgeable you become, the lighting on a surface such as a dog's coat like this is always going to be a challenge. It just is hard, no matter how good you are.

Oh I love number 1, the little face is cheeky, but trusting. I don't even mind the up-the-nose look because the eyes and tongue balance it out.

The angle is fabulous and has inspired me to pop my camera in my dogs faces tomorrow (they are both curled up fast asleep now so no chance at the moment

Gretchen, I think you are doing a fabulous job with the dark coats. It's really tough to balance those with everything else around them.

The watermark surprises me a bit. I must have been tired --I usually work to make it blend in much better. In some of my more wacky pieces, I make it an adventure to "find the watermark".

The first is my favorite too, on FB, I've gotten more "likes" on the last one.

I've got to try not to get the noses so predominate --They are primarily scent dogs, but In a lot of my pix, they seem ALL nose!!!
