Re: Iceland: Geothermal Wonders
Very powerful set of images, Mike. I can see why you like the first one.
I also especially like the fourth one. Something about it just draws my eye through the image into the distance. Very awesome.

Thanks, Serge. The fourth one is also my second favorite of the set.

Re: Iceland: Geothermal Wonders
Mike, Very nice shots. I like the first and last the best. Was there a sulfur odor in the area? I can see the yellow on the rocks in the second shot. If so, do these photos remind you of the odor? ![Big Grin](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/biggrin.png)
Thanks for sharing. You are making me want to check out Iceland. - chuck

Re: Iceland: Geothermal Wonders
We noticed the sulfur smell a little bit but not nearly as much as we remember from our visits to New Zealand and Yellowstone. That might be explained by the very strong wind that was present. It's possible that the sulfur was dissipated fairly quickly by the wind.
Glad you like the Iceland pics! It's a great place to visit, though not inexpensive. I'm trying to think of what Iceland has that you don't have within a few hours' drive. The only thing I can immediately think of is icebergs, glaciers and lava fields.
