Just when the color stopped
My earlier post of the sunrise on Mt Rainier from Tipsu Lake...... The color had gone and I was headed back to the truck when I caught movement out of the corner of my eye. A fox I thought....but it is the wrong color! Sure enough a fox it was....a Cross Fox and in a color I have not seen. Normally a redish calico this one was black with silver on his rump. The white tip gave him away. =} I watched him go after two birds and came up empty. A quick change of the lens and I gave chase.

Great catch! Particularly the second image where you've got his attention!

#2 is actually scary --he looks like he is deciding if you are food or not!
Thanks for posting.

Re: Just when the color stopped
Perhaps the reason it didn't catch the birds is that the huge tail slows it down.
