Mark, these are very good and I can almost smell the sea, particularly in the second one. If I was being (extremely!) picky, I may have cropped a little to the RHS to bring the second upright nearer the front of the image but that's just me.
Your first reminds me of Philip Plisson, a French photographer who simply blows my mind with his images, particularly of Brittany.

kenny, thank you for your very kind words, i have seen some of philip plissons work, the storm stuff is truly fantastic.
i was in two minds also for the second, but felt maybe i wouldn't have the elongated view i was trying for so much?
