Hi Shawn,
you have a beautiful daughter and 2 lovely images to keep, it's hard to choose my favourite but I would say #1 just wins.
Also I think going for b&w was a good call.

Hey Shawn!
What a Sweetie!
I know it may be just me, but B&W portraiture is always a good choice in my feeble mind. I think it works especially well for babies.
As you have certainly shown here.
If portraiture is all about the eyes then might I maybe suggest that both be in very sharp focus?
The camera left side of her face kind of seems to be getting lost in the background on #1. Shawn, may I suggest some burning of the BG or possibly a partial vignette to bring her out more? Maybe even a bit of BG burning on #2?
These might even be good candidates for a high key treatment if you had the desire, Shawn.
Might I also suggest some prints of this little cutie?
