very nice, they are an australian species brought over to the uk by collectors, (or so i have been told).
we have a nice pair at roath park in cardiff. always a bit more wary of people than the mute and bewick species due to the extra attention they receive.

Nice set I like the first one best. They do not start out black and down under (spring in NZ) the cygnets are around.

Great shots. Black swans are of course pretty common here being the main colour ours come in. They are particularly prevalent in Western Australia where the main river, the Swan, on which the Capital Perth sits, is named for them. And the black swan is the State Emblem for W.A. #1 would have to be my pick for all the reasons that I feel go into making a great piece of capture.

paul, they are lovely as cygnets,more great info, cheers guys,didnt know about them state emblem, thanks ken, the first one is my favourite as well, i was wondering about a tight crop on 3 just to show the head and the water droplets?
